No new stock for NES and SNES Classic Mini
After the current stock to NES and SNES Classic Miniconsoles has run out, Nintendo has no plans to produce new ones. After the upcoming Christmas period, it is therefore increasingly difficult to find the mini consoles new in the store.
Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime shares those plans in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The company is now focusing on offering classic Nintendo games via the Switch Online service, although it only concerns NES games there.
Incidentally, Nintendo has also firmly held in the past the idea that the sold out NES Classic Mini would not be released again. This made it a sought-after collector’s item that was offered second-hand for extortionate prices. Later on, however, the stock was indeed replenished.
