The development team responsible for reworking Halo games, 343 Industries, has announced that an open beta test of Halo 3 PC will be launched soon.
343 Industries is moving at an incredible pace when it comes to packing Halo games for PC. Roughly two months ago, the beta test of the second part started, the guys are moving at a crazy pace. The Halo train, on the other hand, has no brakes, so the public beta test period will start at Halo 3 from early to mid-June.
It’s important to emphasize that while Halo 3 is part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, unlike the remakes of previous Halo parts, it’s not a remaster release. We can’t expect the same visual leap as in the first two games, but there’s really no absolute need for that either.
With the completion of Halo 3, the publisher will focus on the next part, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4, with the current state that these two parts will be the last to arrive on a PC within the collection. The studio has no plans for a Halo 5 single-player campaign yet.
