Our character’s progress in Destiny will be reset in Destiny 2
If you are thinking of continuing to progress your Destiny character in the upcoming Destiny 2, it will not be possible.
We can transfer the race, class and appearance of our character in the sequel, but not the equipment, weapons or objects that we have acquired.
Bungie said a while ago that we could transfer all the progress of Destiny to each of the sequels and scheduled expansions, since, in principle, it was going to be an adventure that would last 10 years.
“The sequels represent the beginning of a new adventure for all players, with new worlds to explore, new stories to tell, new powers to acquire and much more. That led us to make the decision that would allow us to serve both the game and the Player Interests: Destiny 1 Eververse powers, possessions and items will not transfer, “the developer wrote in a blog post.
“However, they will still be accessible in Destiny 1.”
“We believe that it is the best way. It allows us to introduce great advances and improvements that we all expect from a sequel, ensuring that it is the best game we can create, without the burdens of the past.”
The last Destiny 1 event, meanwhile, will take place at the end of March. It’s called “Age of Triumph,” and it will be announced in full in a series of three weekly broadcasts that will begin on March 18.
Destiny 2 is expected to go on sale in September.
