Path of Exile PlayStation 4 release delayed

The release of the PlayStation 4 version of Path of Exile has been delayed until February next year.

The port for Sony’s console was initially planned for December 2018, but the developers have found some problems in the certification phase, the process in which the game must receive the go-ahead for launch by the console manufacturer. .

In a post published on the official website, Grinding Gear Games has apologized for the inconvenience caused:

“We underestimate the amount of work that would be required to finish the certification process over the Christmas period. Although we hope to have everything ready in January, we feel more comfortable promising a date in early February. This will give us time to work on the performance of the gameplay and frame-rate, which we think can be improved before launch. “

“Once again, we are sorry for all of this. We know that many PlayStation users wanted to play Betrayal for Christmas and have been waiting for news on the release date. We promise that Path of Exile will be great on PlayStation 4 when it releases early next year. “.

Path of Exile is a free-to-play action RPG that was originally released for PC in October 2013. The Xbox One version arrived four years later, in August 2017.
