Pokémon GO now available on iPhone and Android in the Netherlands and Belgium

Pokémon GO is from today also officially available in the Netherlands and Belgium. The mobile game was already available in other parts of the world and some European countries, but due to the overload of the Pokémon GO servers, it was delayed here for a while.

The popular mobile game from developer Niantic was already playable, with a roundabout way to download Pokémon GO on your iPhone or Android smartphone. As of today, the game can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play respectively.

In Pokémon GO, you go out with your smartphone to catch Pokémon in the real world. You do this by means of the augmented reality function of the app. According to research agency Multiscope, 10 percent of the Dutch are currently playing the game.

You don’t have to start the game with Charmander, Bulbasaur or Squirtle. It is also possible to start Pokémon GO with Pikachu.
