Pokémon GO – the first event of the year has started, there is a double reward for hatching eggs
It’s time to walk down the surplus accumulated in 2018 and take advantage of the hatcheries that accumulated during the year-end event.
The first Pokémon GO event of the new year has already started. From today until January 15, the Adventure Sync Hatchathon spins, during which you get double Candy and Stardust for hatched eggs, plus we’re more likely to get 5 and 10 kilometer eggs from PokéStop.
The name of the event, by the way, comes from the Adventure Sync feature, which came with a new update to the game last year, and the point is to measure the amount we walked down even when the app is not currently active on our phone. So we don’t have to sacrifice charge to make progress.
By the end of the Hatchathon, Niantic will put together the first community day of the year. On January 12th (next seven Saturdays), this will boost the rate at which Totodiles show up and the eggs will need a quarter of a mile to hatch. You’ll want to put on your hiking boots at least that day.
