Pokémon Go will get special event with red and green version
In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon games, a special event will take place on February 20 at Pokémon Go. During the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto you can encounter shiny versions of all the original 151 Pokémon. In addition, you can also purchase a red or green version of the special event ticket to gain access to some exclusive Pokémon.
With a red ticket you can lure Ekans, Oddish, Mankey, Growlithe, Scyther and Electabuzz with an Incense. In the green version, on the other hand, they are Sandshrew, Vulpix, Meowth, Bellsprout, Magmar and Pinsir. In addition, both tickets also give you a better chance of finding some shiny Pokémon.
In order to collect all 151 Pokémon, you will have to trade. To this end, Niantic is temporarily expanding the trade range to 40 kilometers. However, it doesn’t stop there for ticket holders, they can also start a special research storyline during the event to get a Shiny Mew.
Even those who do not buy a ticket can enjoy the event. After all, raids on Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Mewtwo will also take place on 20 February.
The event runs from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. There is also a lot to experience in the game at the moment. As of today you can catch a Shiny Celebi in Pokémon Go, for example.
