A new Wednesday, a new Night Watch! This time a rumor about PUBG for the PlayStation 4, job vacancies on the new Zelda and the studio behind Battalion 1944 working on a new game for Square Enix.

PUBG may be coming to PlayStation 4 next month

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds could be released for PlayStation 4 sometime in December. Game analyst Daniel Ahmad reports on ResetEra that the game will then appear on the console, and the SamaGame website also confirms this.

Furthermore, a visitor to the PSN Profiles forum has discovered references to the game in the console’s database, including two images of the game. Thus, the images are hosted on the Sony servers. Quite a bit of evidence!

The battle royale shooter PUBG has been available on PC for quite some time and also appeared on Xbox One in December last year. There is also a mobile version of the game available. A PS4 version could therefore be the next step. Microsoft has announced to watch the XO18 presentation on November 10, because there would also be major PUBG news.

Nintendo is looking for employees for the next Zelda game

Of course there is a lot of hard work behind the scenes on a new Zelda game. After all, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was released for Switch and Wii U on March 3, 2017, is one of the franchise’s most successful titles.

Still, it is nice to have extra confirmation. The company has posted vacancies on its website (check the translated information on ResetEra). These vacancies are for work with the Zelda team in Kyoto. For example, people are searched for who can create topography and dungeons for the game.

Hopefully, this doesn’t mean Nintendo has only just started the game. The sooner a new Zelda gets here, the better! Or, to ease the long wait, would we get a new 2D Zelda on the Switch in the meantime?

Runner 3 is coming to PS4 next week

Switch and PC gamers have been enjoying it for several months, but on November 13, Runner 3 will finally be released on PlayStation 4 as well. The game should cost around 20 euros, although the game will be for sale at a fifty percent discount in the first two weeks.

Runner 3 is the third installment in the Bit.Trip Runner franchise. These are auto-runners and not endless runners. The latter genre allows gamers to get as far as possible in one level, but in auto-runners like Runner 3 you do have levels and the challenge is to reach the end of the levels without getting hit along the way. A lot of replays and trying to get to the rhythm of the music and the gameplay.

Battalion 1944 Developer Creates New Game for Square Enix

Square Enix has bought 20 percent of Bulkhead Interactive, the European developer of games such as Battalion 1944 and The Turing Test. The studio is now working on a new game for Square Enix, although it is not yet known what kind of game it is. Phil Elliot, who heads Square Enix Collective, will join the studio’s board.

Unfortunately, there is still little to say about this development. Battalion 1944 was certainly a success when it was released on Steam earlier this year; it’s a World War II shooter that keeps the fun from the older shooters.

These are the NES games that will be released for the Switch Online service for the rest of the year

The games Metroid, TwinBee and Mighty Bomb Jack will be added in November. Wario’s Woods, Ninja Gaiden and Adventures of Lolo will be added in December. The rest of the video provides more information about the options you get with Nintendo Switch Online.

Tom Clancy’s EndWar and HAWX are now backwards compatible on Xbox One

As of now, two Tom Clancy games have been added to the list of backwards compatible games on Xbox One. It’s about Endwar and HAWX. EndWar is a war rts that came out ten years ago and HAWK is an arcade flying game that came out in 2009.

Both titles can be played on Xbox One if you still have the Xbox 360 discs. If you purchased the games digitally on your Xbox 360, you can download them again on Xbox One. Of course you can also buy the games for the first time via the Xbox Live Store.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead is now finally out

The game has been in development for years and opinions on the eponymous series have cooled down quite a bit, but Overkill has finally released The Walking Dead on Steam.

It is a co-op shooter for up to four players in which players must work together to keep the many zombies in the game at a distance. In addition, survivors must be found and of course all found food and ammunition are more than welcome.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in February 2019.

Hideki Kamiya from PlatinumGames had a meeting with Capcom

Hideki Kamiya, the outspoken developer of Bayonetta and Nier: Automata studio PlatinumGames, recently met with developers from Capcom, according to Twitter. So what? Well, Kamiya and several other Platinum leaders used to be part of Capcom studio Clover Studios, where Viewtiful Joe and Okami were made.

To make things even more interesting, Kamiya indicated a year ago that he would like to make remakes of Viewtiful Joe and Devil May Cry, both IPs of Capcom. He also thought a game containing both Dante from Devil May Cry and Bayonetta would be a good idea. Will one of these dreams really come true? Time will tell.
