Rainbow Six: Siege is featured in a study by The Esports Observer website. The article, published on Tuesday (28), disclosed the most influential games for PC in the first four months of 2020 and Ubisoft’s FPS reached tier 1, the top of the pyramid.

The elements that make up the final score are: active players per month on the PC, hours of eSports watched, distributed prizes, game hours watched in general, volume of streams and number of championships.

With 42.06 points, Rainbow Six: Siege is in fourth place, second only to League of Legends, CS: GO and Dota 2. Compared to the last study, the FPS rose four positions in the ranking. In 2020, the numbers were driven by the success of Six Invitational, the most important competition on the Rainbow Six Siege calendar, held in February in Canada.

In this edition, the tournament generated about 5.37 million hours watched on Twitch and the prize was the biggest of the modality in history: US $ 3 million, being among the 20 largest in the history of eSports.

The Brazilians from Ninjas in Pajamas made a historic campaign and reached the tournament decision, but ended up being defeated by the North Americans of Spacestation Gaming.

This year, the competitive scenario of Rainbow Six Siege will undergo a reformulation and will have specific programming for each existing region, that is, in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. In this way, each one will decide on the characteristics of their championships. This will allow a greater focus on local particularities and more diversity in the program options that Ubisoft offers. This will result in an exciting worldwide race towards Six Invitational.
