Red Dead Redemption 2 Online: Change and delete characters – is that possible?

The character editor provided by Rockstar is quite a powerful one with many fine-tuning options. In addition to the absolute basics such as hairdresser and hair color, height, stature and other facial features, you can even influence the height of your whistle or the way your outlaw runs. Moves every slider and always tries out all variants of the respective option so as not to miss anything.

An important detail that many players overlook: If you press X / A on a body feature, an additional slider appears, with which you can make particularly fine gradations of the respective body zone. Only then do you exploit the full potential of character creation.

As already said: Take your time for this setting – as soon as you have started Red Dead Online, you can only change the appearance of your character marginally. Only the following parameters are then still variable:

  • Head hair
  • beard
  • Outfit

To change your hair or your beard, all you have to do is visit one of the various hairdressers. Note, however, that its services are not free. Are you almost broke? However, if you are fundamentally dissatisfied with your character in Red Dead Redemption 2 Online, you have little choice but to delete it. Unlike in GTA Online, for example, in RDR2’s multiplayer it is not possible to create multiple characters and switch between them. Please note, however, that if you delete your character, it is not possible to take over your game progress. So you inevitably start from the beginning and have to earn everything again that you have already unlocked.

At least that is the current state of affairs. Since Red Dead Online is currently still in the beta test phase, it cannot be ruled out that Rockstar will provide you with further options with the full version. Who knows, maybe then, among other things, it will be possible to create multiple characters.
