With the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, the accompanying Companion App will also be released. Rockstar has revealed the mobile application on its own website, Power Unlimited will briefly discuss the functions with you.

The highly anticipated release of Red Dead Redemption 2 went horse with smashing reviews and nightly openings, but Rockstar also comes with a Companion App that will help you explore America at the end of the nineteenth century.

The app is directly connected to your PS4 or Xbox One and delivers real-time interactive information on your smartphone or tablet, according to Rockstar. This way you can swipe through the map and place waypoints, which then also appear on the map on your console. The app also shows important info and statistics about protagonist Arthur, so you can turn off the HUD in Red Dead Redemption 2 yourself. Why burden your screen with unnecessary icons when you can check it all on your smartphone or table, right?

The app also shows you Arthur’s in-game diary, integrates with the Rockstar Social Club, includes the game’s manual and an optional digital version of the Official Guide created by Piggyback. According to Rockstar, these are just some of the features of the app. The Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App is now live on Android (193MB) and iOS (210.3MB).
