[REVIEW] : Chorus now offers a Ray Tracing mode on Xbox Series X

The space shooter Chorus has just welcomed its 1.6 update, and with it a new Ray Tracing graphics mode for the Series X ! A graphic choice that comes in addition to the Quality and Performance modes, respectively offering native 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. For Ray Tracing, the resolution will change to dynamic 4K and the framerate to 30fps. This update also brings some welcome balances (especially in terms of damage), texts in Japanese and bug fixes.

The contribution of Ray Tracing should really bring an undeniable added value to this Chorus. A space shooter that takes us on a journey through distant galaxies, with superb graphics. The many bases offer reflective surfaces, not to mention the multiple light sources that will surely take advantage of it. A game to discover, especially with the additions of the day.

Chorus will be upgraded to version 1.6, with the arrival of ray-tracing

We talked a lot about it, even before the release of the new generation of consoles, and yet the option is really slow to become more popular. However, ray-tracing is a great promise in terms of innovation and is supposed to bring a significant touch of realism.

Rather disappointed by the sales of Chorus, the German studio DS Fishlabs is counting on the follow-up of the game to try to always attract a little more players. And for that, the choice fell on the ray-tracing precisely, which will land on the occasion of an update 1.6. A technology that will benefit Xbox Series X players, including more natural and realistic reflections on ships.

This update will also balance some aspects of the game to make it less punishing. Thus, collisions with energy shields will take less life from the player and the first boss will be easier to beat.
