Everything that will no longer be available in Everybody’s Golf on PS4

“Everybody’s Golf online servers will close on September 30, 2022.” “All online features (including online multiplayer modes) will stop working on this date. You will still be able to play and enjoy the game in single player offline modes. The Japanese version of the site has provided additional details on the sections of the game that will remain inaccessible:

  • Selection of open fields
  • Participation in international tournaments
  • Territory War
  • Check out the latest daily leaderboard
  • Check the most recent copy ranking
  • Partial news display

Everybody’s Golf was released in August 2017 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Like all video games on the console, the title is backwards compatible with the next-gen machine, although it hasn’t been specifically optimized for it. With the server shutdown on the horizon, trophy hunters will need to speed up if they want to claim the platinum, as both vanishing trophies will be needed to earn that recognition.

Flagship license of the PS2 then PS3 generation, Everybody’s Gold unfortunately did not have the same destiny on PS4. Only one episode released in August 2017 and nothing more, sales were even disappointing, to the point that an episode only seems planned on the PS5 generation. As mentioned in the box that “pops” when you go to the official site. All features and multiplayer mode will no longer be accessible from the reveal date, but everything related to the single player aspect will of course be playable offline. So you still have a few months to take advantage of the online features of this title, which was rated 14/20 in our columns at the time.

Bad news, a PlayStation game will close its servers

This is not the first time that a PlayStation game has closed its servers… Indeed, we still remember the closure of the Online features of Killzone 2 or even Killzone 3, LittleBigPlanet and more recently SingStar, DRIVECLUB and Gran Turismo 6. Still, it always does a little something when Sony announces that a new title is going to shut down its servers. Moreover, today, it is the turn of a completely different license from the PlayStation brand to give up on its Online services.

Everybody’s Golf online servers will be shut down on September 30, 2022. All online functionality (including online multiplayer modes) will cease on that date. sony

From October 1, 2022, therefore, it will no longer be possible to participate in international tournaments, to join friends Online to play a match, to take a look at the rankings or to acquire many trophies such as “Online Debut” , “Walking Encyclopaedia” and the Platinum “Push it to the Limit!”

Despite this bad news, note that Everybody’s Golf will still be available for sale from October 1, 2022 (we can imagine a significant price drop from this date) and that all offline features will be included. This means that offline Tournaments will still be playable, as well as the various courses, namely Eagle City Golf Club, Alpina Forest Golf Course, Kanaloa Beach Golf Resort, Vortex Valley Golf Course and Imperial Garden.
