[REVIEW] : Gamigo announces a new open-world sandbox MMORPG

The gamigo group is pleased to announce its publishing agreement with the developer Dynamight Studios for the Dynamic, isometric open-world MMORPG, Fractured Online. This sandbox-style game prioritizes the freedom of players to be whoever they want through a unique character progression system and how to create their world. This can take place figuratively with the game’s player-driven economy or literally by building cities in three worlds across multiple continents. In a world where demons naturally attack everyone, Fractured Online is a game that can either bring the players together or divide them.

Fractured Online offers three species: humans, wildfolk and demons. Each of them has a different impact on game mechanics, like the kind of society players can live in Where how they interact with other players. They have the possibility to live in a peaceful communitywhere cooperation and defensive gameplay stand out, or apply their free will while trying to follow the rules of a feudal society, such as not breaking the law and not killing other players as a human. For those who prefer aggression, blood and terror, they can accept their inner evil alignment by appearing as a demon. Once the species is chosen, players can begin their quest for knowledge.

We wanted to offer something more powerful and flexible than the classic RPG leveling and skilling system. In Fractured Online, we believe in the saying “knowledge is power” by introducing the knowledge system.

When players aren’t upgrading their abilities, they can choose to take part in Fractured Online’s strong, player-driven economy. Finding a sword on a spider’s corpse is a thing of the past. Every item in the game is crafted by players, then better be nice to the local blacksmith or else players might find themselves battling their enemies with a stick. Artisans, merchants, farmers, shepherds, miners, woodcutters, hunters and looters all play an important role in the world.

Combat also plays an important role in Fractured Online as players will find it a perfect way to settle conflicts. They are fast and fighters will learn to aim, dodge, and master over 400 abilities and 40 unique status changes. It’s up to players whether they use their abilities against monsters in PvE battles or against other players in PvP battles.

Our team is really proud to be the new publisher of Fractured Online as we see huge potential in the game. We have been following Dynamight closely since the success of their Kickstarter campaign and now look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.

Gamigo will distribute Dynamight Studios’ MMORPG Fractured

After a few weeks of teasing, Gamigo lifts the veil on the next MMORPG in its catalog: the German publisher will distribute Fractured Online, developed by the Italian studio Dynamight.

For a few weeks now, the group gamigo was conducting a teasing campaign aimed at gradually unveiling the next MMORPG in its catalog. After a countdown that stretched on the official site, the veil finally lifts on the title in question: the German Gamigo has joined forces with the Italian studio Dynamight to distribute the MMORPG Fractured.

MMORPG enthusiasts already know Fractured Onlinewhich has been revealed regularly since April 2019 as part of an alpha-test – sometimes reserved for purchasers of packs, sometimes accessible to everyone during open alpha sessions.

In particular, we discovered some of the originalities of the MMORPG, such as its knowledge system allowing you to learn skills by observing monsters or other players using them (the game has nearly 400), but also its mechanics of open game allowing players to found and erect villages, to collect resources to practice a complex craft (and a bit difficult) and thus feed an economy totally entrusted to the hands of the players…

We still see it little in alpha, but the frame of Fractured also revolves around the cohabitation of three worlds, that of the peaceful Wildfolk, that of Humans endowed with their free will and finally that of belligerent demons. It’s obviously these three worlds that the Gamigo teaser was referring to –

At this stage, neither the German publisher nor the Italian developer details the terms of this partnership. But let’s bet that Gamigo’s funds will help to allow the continuation, or even the acceleration of the development of Fractured at Dynamight, pending a beta, then a commercial launch on a date not yet specified.

Fractured Online, the dynamic open-world MMORPG, finds a publisher

Fractured Online is intended to be a sandbox MMORPG where the characters shape the world thanks to an important system of knowledge and an interesting approach to the economy.

The German group gamigoa specialist in MMO-type games, has decided to step out of its comfort zone and explore new avenues by announcing a new… Open world sandbox MMORPG!

The title concerned by this publishing contract is currently in alpha and is being developed by Dynamight Studios. This in RPG comes in the form of an isometric view in cities built by the players in a dynamic map with a medieval-fantasy atmosphere. The game has an economy system that allows participants to shape the cities of the three worlds spread over several continents. Indeed, it will be more useful to be friends with the local blacksmith, capable of creating beautiful swords, than to go and loot mobs in a dungeon.

Each of them has a different impact on game mechanics, such as the type of society players may live in or how they interact with other players. They have the option of living in a peaceful community, where cooperation and defensive gameplay shine, or applying their free will while trying to follow the rules of a feudal society, such as not breaking the law and do not kill other players as a human. For those who prefer aggression, blood and terror, they can accept their inner evil alignment by appearing in the guise of a demon. Once the species is chosen, players can begin their quest for knowledge.

In particular, the players will have to fight against the demons which attack the PCs. The game also includes a very important knowledge system since players who accumulate knowledge will have many answers.

In Fractured Online, we believe in the saying “knowledge is power” by introducing the knowledge system.

Finally, the studio also announces over 400 combat abilities and 40 unique status changes, all for PvE or PvP battles for those who prefer human encounters. For the moment, no release date for this PC game, but the studio believes that it wants to aim 2022 by increasing its workforce.
