In addition, the Civi 2 would have the Android 12 operating system associated with the MIUI 13 user interface. Finally, the terminal would be powered by the Snapdragon 778 Plus chipset.

So far, no information has been leaked about RAM and storage memory. Likewise for the battery, we do not know the reference or the capacity. However, rumors suggest the existence of a 55 W fast charging function.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra: the photo configuration is revealed, it will use a new 50 MP Sony sensor

Xiaomi is set to introduce its new Xiaomi 12 series on September 15, but the smartphones will not come with the top-end model, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Indeed, it seems that this one is only planned for later this year, since its release is not expected until this summer.

Like every year, Xiaomi’s Ultra smartphone will put the package around the photo, using the most powerful sensors on the market. Last year, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra impressed us with its triple camera setup, featuring Samsung’s GN2 main sensor, which was significantly larger than its competitors. This year, Xiaomi could abandon Samsung to bet on a brand new sensor from Sony.

According to leaker Ice Universe on Weibo, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra should be the first model equipped witha new generation of high-end Sony IMX8XX sensors. This new main sensor is expected to be a direct successor to the Sony IMX707 found on the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

The new Sony IMX8XX should retain a resolution of 50 megapixels, and offer larger photosites than the competition to capture better shots in low light conditions. He would be accompanied by a 48 MP ultra wide-angle sensor as well as by a 48 MP periscope offering 5X optical zoom.

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra could also be one of the first smartphones to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip, engraved by TSMC. This should be able to fix current models Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 overheating issues. In addition, we already know that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra should use a 4900 mAh battery compatible with the 120W fast charging.
