[REVIEW] : Realme GT 2 and GT Neo3 launch in India confirmed, world’s first flagship store to open soon

Realme had a great success today in India by introducing five new products in the country – Realme GT 2 Pro, Realme 9 (4G), Realme Buds Air 3, Realme Book Prime and Realme Smart TV Stick. And towards the end of the Realme VP event, Mr. Madhav Sheth announced that the vanilla GT 2 will be launched in India on the company’s fourth anniversary which will be celebrated on May 4th.

Mr Sheth then took to Twitter to announce that the GT Neo3 will also be coming to India soon. The company’s VP didn’t explicitly mention the name of the smartphone, but the message caption and the attached short video clip leave little to the imagination. The latter also suggests that Realme will bring the cool Le Mans version of the GT Neo3 to India.

The Realme GT 2 was unveiled in February alongside the GT 2 Pro. It comes with the Snapdragon 888 SoC, 6.62-inch 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display, 50MP triple camera, 5000mAh battery, and 65W charging.

The Realme GT Neo3, unveiled last month, is powered by the Dimensity 8100 chip, has a slightly larger 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED panel and sports a 50MP triple camera system on the back. But, its biggest highlight is the 150W charge, advertised to fill the 4,500mAh battery up to 50% in just 5 minutes. There is also an 80W version of the phone, which packs a 5,000mAh cell.

We know that the 150W variant will be launched in India, but it’s unclear if Realme will also bring the 80W version of the GT Neo3 to its biggest market or ignore it.

Along with introducing new products in India at today’s event, Realme has announced that it will soon open the world’s first Realme flagship store in India. It will be located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, but the young brand has not revealed where exactly.

Realme 9 is coming with 108MP camera, Realme GT2 Pro is also launched in India

The battle between 4G and 5G is still undecided – 5G will win out eventually, but in the meantime, the price of the modem means losing a few other advantages. Do you have 5G in your area and do you think it’s worth it?

Highlights of Realme 9 (4G)

The new Realme 9 may make you say “no”. Don’t confuse this with the Realme 9 5G, the two are related but different. For starters, the new model is a 4G phone powered by the Snapdragon 680 instead of a Dimensity 810. Both are 6nm chips, but the 680 has older CPU cores (Cortex-A73 and A53 based , compared to A75 and A55) and a less efficient Adreno 610 GPU.

The less capable chipset left room in the budget for some upgrades. For example, the phone is now equipped with 8 GB of RAM (the 5G model only offers 4 and 6 GB). Realme UI can add 5 GB of virtual RAM to this.

The biggest upgrade, however, is the 108MP ISOCELL HM6 sensor for the main camera (it’s the first phone to use the HM6). It features enhanced NonaPixel Plus 9 to 1 pixel clustering technology (1.92µm effective pixel size). The new technology promises a 123% increase in light-gathering ability over previous sensors.
