Which phones will get MIUI 13? – Apps and software

First announced in December 2021, the MIUI 13 is Xiaomi’s new interface. During the launch of the global edition of the Redmi Note 11 family, the Chinese manufacturer took the opportunity to reveal which phones will receive this version in the first quarter of 2022. Below, I will show you the compatible models.

For now, the official list only includes 18 models which, as I mentioned earlier, will be updated during the first quarter of 2022, that is, between January and March — the timing of Output may vary depending on region.

However, they will not be the only ones to be updated, as the company is expected to release the new interface for other models in the future. The list containing the other smartphones has not yet been released.

As a reminder, the update allows smartphones to be faster, smoother, and it adapts perfectly to the manufacturer’s Pad 5 tablets. MIUI 13 also offers more customization options for users. One of the main novelties is adding the Sidebar, a sidebar from which you can quickly access your favorite applications. It can also be noted the arrival of Smart Balancea feature that helps extend overall battery life by an average of 10% by striking a balance between performance and power consumption.

What’s new in MIUI 13?

Unlike MIUI 12, which brought many visual changes, MIUI 13 focuses on improving performance. One of the novelties presented by Xiaomi is the “Liquid Storage” functionality, which should improve the efficiency of internal storage by 60%. The devices’ RAM memory will also receive optimizations to run more applications simultaneously.

In this version, the Chinese brand has introduced new algorithms to prioritize activities and ensure faster processing, thus improving the performance of the device. Resource management has also been optimized to increase battery life by 10%.

The interface also provides a sidebar to make it easier to open apps – it can be activated by swiping your finger from the corners to the center of the screen. Thus, the user will have access to a list of applications that can be launched quickly.

According to Xiaomi, MIUI 13 still brings a more elaborate verification process for facial recognition which, with the help of body structure, should prevent authentication fraud. Finally, the company promises an increase in overall fluidity of 52%.
