[REVIEW] : We compared the green of green iPhone 13s to other green stuff
During its March 8 conference, Apple unveiled the arrival of new colors for its iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. If, like us, you wonder if the green of Apple is closer to Shrek than to the man Cetelem, here are some photos to help you see more clearly.
How to test a smartphone whose only novelty is its color, six months after the release of the original model? This is the question that Numerama asked itself when it received the new green iPhone 13 and alpine green iPhone 13 Pro, which will be marketed from March 18.
Like any serious and applied media that respects itself, we have decided to go into the field in order to offer you as many photos of these new colors as possible. Here are the results of our “investigation”, first degree abstain.
Green or alpine green?
Before starting our slideshow, let’s clarify that the green iPhone 13 is identifiable thanks to its two vertically distributed cameras, while the alpine green iPhone 13 Pro has three. The first is in glossy glass, the other in matt glass.

A beefier iPhone SE on the inside and greener iPhone 13 and 13 Pro on the outside is the pre-order menu today in this product family. All will be delivered within a week, starting March 18..
The iPhone SE returns for a 3rd season with a design that does not change in any way and a color palette that only evolves in its shades of black (“Midnight”) and white (“Starlight”) and red “ RED”. On the back the glass is reinforced and inside it stirs more. We have a beefy A15 – that of the iPhone 13 – 4 GB of RAM instead of 3 and 5G is ready to be activated. Autonomy increases from 3 hours (given for video playback) to 15 hours according to Apple’s tests.
Considering the Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro? This is what it looks like
The Apple iPhone 13 models were unveiled in September 2021, but Apple refreshed the lineup at its Peek Performance event in March 2022 with a few new color additions.
The iPhone 13 Pro models offer a nice finish with their matte glass backs and polished stainless steel frames and the Alpine Green color is great accenting the design. There’s a nice depth of color, and while it doesn’t quite live up to the midnight green of the iPhone 11 Pro for us in terms of a favorite, it’s definitely up there.
As with other iPhone 13 Pro models, the Alpine Green option features a color-matched frame and camera housing, although the camera housing has a bit more pop than the rest of the rear thanks to the glossy finish.
Under the hood, nothing has changed, so you will find the A15 Bionic chip, a triple rear camera consisting of a 12-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens and some cool features like Cinematic Mode and Photographic Styles.
