[REVIEW] : Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is coming to PS5 this fall
Acclaimed by critics and gamers, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is one of Falcom’s biggest international commercial successes. It is therefore quite logical that he takes the first steps on Sony’s latest machine despite a Ys IX freshly released last year. And it must be said that the license has the bottle but remains very accessible since each opus depicts a new adventure of the protagonist, Adol Christin, in a whole new setting. Each game can thus be taken individually since it does not really share any continuity apart from a few details.
We tell you this because this PS5 version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana could well be your first experience in the Falcom license that we also know for the Trails series. Unfortunately, we regret a rather light announcement from NIS America which does not detail the novelties of this version.
We don’t even know if the transition will be free for owners of the game on PS4. However, we can hope for a high quality texture pack as for the Steam version. In any case, we know that this PS5 version will be available this fall without further details.
The limited edition on PS5 will include :
- Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA Deluxe Edition on PS5
- “Art Collection” Softcover Art Book
- “The Journal of Adol Christin” Hardcover Book
- Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA “Seiren Songs”
- A Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA acrylic bookend
- A poster with Adol and Dana (24″ x 17″)
- A steel book
- A collector’s box
