It took a while for fans to wait, but the fourth season of Rick and Morty is finally coming. To ensure that everyone is put in hype mode, a first teaser has been thrown online this week.

Adult Swim has released the first teaser for the fourth season of Rick and Morty. Fans of the series have been waiting for new episodes for some time now, but we now know that 70 episodes are coming and this teaser is a nice sign of life!

As you can expect from Rick & Morty, we get to see something completely absurd on our screens. In the teaser, which was posted to the series’ official Twitter channel this week, we see the two heroes drawn completely in 90’s anime. The fifteen second clip doesn’t show much, but we do see Rick and Morty portrayed as Marvel-esque superheroes who stir up the necessary nostalgic feelings.

Adult Swim bought 70 episodes from Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland (creators of Rick And Morty) in May. Now that fans have finally gotten their first glimpse of season four, it has also been confirmed that the remaining episodes of the sci-fi series will not be long in coming.

The third season, which ended last October, has entered the history books as the most watched program on Adult Swim. And that’s not all. The series has also won the prize for best viewed comedy series for adults between 18 and 34 years.

It is not yet known when the new season will be broadcast. We will probably see the first episodes of Rick and Morty Season 4 sometime in 2019.

Did you know that one of the makers of Rick and Morty is also working on his own game called Trover Saves the Universe? Check out the trailer for the VR game here!
