Rumor: Next Assassin’s Creed is called Kingdom and is set among the Vikings
According to news website Kotaku, Ubisoft is currently working on Assassin’s Creed Kingdom and that game will be released in 2020. The game would take place at the time of the Vikings. The heyday of the Vikings was between the eighth and the eleventh century.
According to Kotaku, the story has been corroborated by two independent sources who are knowledgeable. The story also coincides with a discovery that some players made earlier this week in The Division 2. In that game there are posters that find a Norwegian figure dressed in red and white.
Those colors are reminiscent of the outfits of some Assassin’s Creed main characters such as Ezio Auditore. The man on the poster is also holding an object that is very reminiscent of the Apple of Eden that plays an important role in the series.
Ubisoft previously announced that there will be no new Assassin’s Creed in 2019. You can read our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey review on the site.
