Rumor: Zelda, Mario and Pokémon within six months of Nintendo NX launch

Sources close to Nintendo tell website MCV that the Nintendo NX in addition to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will also soon come with a Mario and Pokémon game. All three games will be released in the first half year after the launch of the new console.

In addition, the firm would also be busy ensuring third-party support. Sega, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Activision and Warner Bros. would already be on board.

The same sources confirm previous rumors that the Nintendo NX will be a portable platform that can be connected to the television and uses detachable controllers.

Graphics are located “somewhere between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4”, and Nintendo is targeting the smartphone audience rather than the ‘hardcore’ PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users.

“It’s a nice device, a bit different, but good. It won’t appeal to PlayStation 4 fans. Nintendo wants to upgrade the smartphone gamers. That will be quite a challenge for the marketing department,” said one of the anonymous sources.
