Spider-Man: Miles Morales will have cross-save between PS4 and PS5

Insomniac Games has confirmed that there will be cross-save functionality between the PS4 and PS5 versions of Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

In practice, this ensures that you can start playing on PS4 and then purchase PS5 eventually, you can move on to the new version without losing the progress made up to that point (note: the game also has a free upgrade to PS5).

However, as previously explained, cross-save does not exist between the PS4 version of Spider-Man and the Spider-Man Remastered version of PS5. That is, the new game has cross-save, the previous one does not have cross-save.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be one of the launch games on PlayStation 5. Check here all the games confirmed so far for PS5.
