Spyro, the dragon that always went upside down, could have his face lift very soon according to sources close to the project

Activision is currently working on a Spyro The Dragon Trilogy Remastered that would be announced in March 2018 and released in the third quarter of this year.

The remastering, like the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, features new assets, lighting, animations and cinematics, as well as a remastered soundtrack. It will also feature updates to the save feature, similar to that of the Crash Bandicoot. Will include Spyro the Dragon, Ripto’s Rage !, and Year of the Dragon.

At the moment it would be available for PS4 and with support for PS4 Pro. Its launch could be for September, something with some sense since it would coincide with the 20th anniversary of the game.

The game will be exclusive to PS4 for one year, moving to other platforms for 2019. It is currently in development by Vicarious Visions, the same studio that brought us the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
