Star Wars Episode IX – There are plenty of scenes to feature Leia

Carrie Fisher’s brother said there are plenty of usable shots left of the actress that JJ Abrams will be able to use in the next part of Star Wars.

One of the most famous actresses in Star Wars movies, Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia, passed away two years ago. Of course, one of the most iconic characters in the series would have had plenty of room in the next, ninth episode as well, with the actress leaving, it became questionable how her performance could be resolved, but her brother, Todd Fisher, said we didn’t have to worry.

Todd Fisher recently talked about his brother on a radio show, where he revealed that there were plenty of useful recordings made during the shooting of previous episodes:

“There’s a lot of material and I’m not just thinking about bucks. It’s new, unused content that can be woven into the story. It’s going to be like it was meant to be shot yesterday.”

There have been rumors in the past that the film’s director, JJ Abrams, wants to use leftover footage, so the assumption is probably not unfounded, but nonetheless, it is almost certain that these footage will only be essential for a minor cast.

Regardless, of course, it would be nice to see Leia’s character say goodbye to the series in a worthy way, so we really hope the director will be able to get the most out of her possibilities.
