Super Mario Odyssey – how to unlock all garments
Having lots of hats is great, but what good is that if you don’t have matching clothes to complete the look? Almost every hat in the game has a matching outfit and each one can be found in the same part of the Crazy Cap store – the store within Super Mario Odyssey. Don’t worry, there are no microtransactions or loot boxes here, you just have to collect the two types of coins in the game – gold coins and regional coins.
Gold coins are endless and are restored each time you die, enter a mini-game or return to a certain kingdom (they are also your lives and you lose some of them each time you die). Regional coins are purple and can vary between 50 and 100 per kingdom and can only be spent in the kingdom in which they were found.
The stores are incredibly easy to find and are almost always located near a checkpoint if you want to go back there. Certain clothes – those that require gold coins – can be purchased in almost any world, but others are more specific and will be linked to a particular kingdom. Some are only unlocked later in the game once you have collected enough Power Moons.
