Telltale artist reveals bizarre alternative ending to The Walking Dead
Known for its very emotional ending, the first season of The Walking Dead lifted Telltale to mainstream success and determined several partnerships that the – now deceased – studio has since made. To recall the process of developing the adventure, creative director Sean Ainsworth released an “alternative ending” to Lee’s adventures.
According to Ainsworth, the idea of doing something totally bizarre came up when he and another colleague were working to end the last bugs in the final chapter. To break the boredom a little and give his mind a break, he came up with an ending in which the protagonist suddenly develops superpowers and the zombies are no longer a threat.
On his channel, the developer also published a series of videos dedicated to the backstage of games like Sam & Max and Strong Bad. Telltale’s The Walking Dead series was about to complete half of its Final Season when news of the studio’s closing came out – the company is looking for ways to end the story, but will face a lawsuit filed by its former employees before think about how you are going to do this.
