Telltale is reaching out to potential partners to finish The Walking Dead
Telltale Games has indicated in a statement that it is seeking partners to complete development on The Walking Dead: The Final Season.
After the dismissal of 90% of the workforce that occurred last Friday, the future of the company’s games has been left up in the air, particularly that of the last season of Walking Dead, which premiered today the second episode of the four scheduled .
Now Telltale assures that they have contacted potential partners to somehow end episodes 3 and 4, although the question is whether the original team will remain, since according to our USGamer colleagues all those responsible for the last season are among the more than 200 laid off. Telltale’s words seem to confirm this information, as they imply that they currently do not have the resources to tackle the remainder of the game.

Telltale announced a game based on the Netflix series Stranger Things in June, but this project has been canceled. The company has conveyed in a statement to Polygon its regret for the news around Telltale and assures that they are evaluating other options to bring Stranger Things to the world of video games.
This statement confirms that Telltale’s next (and most likely last) project will be a version of Minecraft: Story Mode for Netflix.
