Red Dead Redemption 2 is bursting with beautiful music, so Wim decided to apply his What Do I Hear?! Serial to the music he has heard so far in his playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2.

I’m probably not nearly as far with Red Dead 2 as you are. I’m still tucking into Chapter Two, so I’m mainly focusing on exploration, hunting, playing poker and collecting bounties. In addition, an official release of the soundtrack is still missing, so this feature will get regular updates with more music as more tracks come online.

Pay attention! I will give very light spoilers for Red Dead Redemption 2 on some songs!

Again, I advise you to turn on the tracks in this feature and listen while you read the accompanying text. For that ultimate experience, you know? Are you ready? Good headset on? Time to listen to the music that the first hours of Red Dead Redemption 2 has to offer!

1. Outlaws From The West

The first chords you hear when the fire opens during the first sequence in the snow. Dutch tries to lure the gentlemen sitting in a cabin in the snow, while you and Micah wait to pounce. As soon as Arthur fires the first shot, the menacing electric guitar kicks in and BAM! Goosebumps.

2. Pouring Forth Oil

The tracks that have appeared on the internet so far do not have any official names yet, so I just name them after the mission it belongs to. As the title of the YouTube video says, the Pouring Forth Oil mission is about a particular robbery and you can hear this music towards the end of this great overarching mission that you carry out for John in chapter two.

3. My Last Son (Battle Theme)

During my first hours in Red Dead Redemption 2 I have not yet felt as gunslinger as during this track. I remember, I had just played a nice game of poker in Valentine and invested my winnings in new weapons. Disaster strikes when I drive back to camp on my way back: I get a group of stubborn bounty hunters on my who I can use as a shotgun reply on horseback.

I just didn’t really keep an eye on the condition of my horse .. My trusty steed decides to throw me off his back and I only just survive this shootout by quickly crawling behind a rock. All this while this bad music is blazing from my speakers. The marching drums, pulsating basses and raw guitars, really awesome.

4. Lemoyne

Fortunately, there are plenty of tracks that offer you the rest you oh so much want in between all those shootouts and chases. I heard this track while I was exploring the Leyone district. Enjoy the cinematic camera and enjoy the beautiful nature that the eastern region offers you. Harmonica, violin and subtle bass and acoustic guitars come together wonderfully subtly to completely immerse you in the lone wolf feeling that you may find yourself exploring while exploring the wide prairies.

5. The Course of True Love

To be honest, this is the only track that I can’t place directly in my playthrough, but I like it so much that I just wanted to record it right away. If you recognize him, please let us know. That cute violet, easy-going acoustic guitar and that tambourine on the side, good man.

Well, that’s it for now, but as I said before, this feature is constantly being updated as I progress through the story and as new songs drop from the soundtrack. I hope you enjoyed the start of this Red Dead 2 musical journey. Cheers!
