The casting of Spider-Man 3 seems to point to a greater relevance of the character of Ned Leeds

It is possible that the character of Ned Leeds receives a little more relevance and / or depth in Spider-Man 3, judging by the casting announced by Sony Pictures.

As you read this, Spider-Man 3 progresses with its filming in Atlanta, Georgia. The third “solo” film by Tom holland As everyone’s favorite wall-crawler, he has been one of the focuses of interest in recent weeks, especially as a result of many rumors about the characters that may or may not appear, including the possible cameo of Spider-Man from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the movie.

Another of the names that has sounded a lot has been that of Jason batalon, the actor who gives life to Ned leeds at Marvel Cinematic Universe and that he has long pressured Marvel Studios to make his character make the leap and become Hobgoblin.

Recently, The Direct has had access to one of the casting processes of Spider-man 3. In said call, Sony Pictures he was on the hunt for a “Filipino woman in her 50s to 80s for a little supporting role.”

While it is true that this does not imply anything in the sense that Ned Leeds finally becomes Hobgoblin, it may imply that Marvel begins to add depth to the character of Jason Batalon (half Filipino) in order to lay the foundation for the transformation of the young man in the Marvel villain. In addition, recently we were also surprised by the tremendous physical change of Batalon himself, who had lost a lot of weight and was “getting squared”.

Would you like Ned Leeds to become a Hobgoblin soon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
