Apple TV + premieres the trailer for ‘Beastie Boys Story’

‘Beastie Boys Story’ tells the story of 3 friends who were mutually inspired by this popular project that the world knew in the eighties. Mike Diamond and Adam Horovitz share an intimate and personal story of their band and 40 years of friendship in this live documentary experience led by their longtime friend and collaborator and former room monitor, Spike Jonze, creator of «Her».

From Apple TV + they have described “Beastie Boys Story” as a documentary experience live that focuses on the history, the legacy of the group and their personal history. It is based on the “Beastie Boys Book”, published in October 2018, and will feature Horovitz and Diamond discussing their long friendship and fame.

And of course, the release date was not random. The documentary is released before the 26th anniversary of the launch of «Ill Communication», the band’s fourth album, whose music video for the originally hit “Sabotage” was provided by Spike Jonze.
