The Walking Dead: The Final Season for PC can only be purchased from now on through the Epic Games Store
Skybound Games has announced an agreement with Epic to distribute The Walking Dead: The Final Season on PC through its store.
Originally the game was available for purchase on PC through Steam and Humble. Those who purchase the game through one of these two platforms will receive the remaining two episodes in the same place where they originally purchased it at no additional charge. However, all future purchases will be made through the Epic Games Store, which has the exclusivity of this title on PC.
Telltale CEO Ian Howe says in the statement that “Epic immediately stepped up to work with us to put the original team back together and make sure fans would get the full season (…),” so It sounds like Epic has been more involved in the project than it might seem.
Skybound is the company in charge of continuing the work with the last season of The Walking Dead after the closure of Telltale. Development resumed a month ago.
The third episode (of four) of The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be released on January 15.
