In little more than two weeks, Monster Hunter: World comes to PS4 and Xbox One. lag for pc would keep us waiting until fall of this year, but the game’s producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, explained why.

In some conversations with the medium Games RadarTsujimoto explained that Monster Hunter: World is the developer’s first PC game, and that considerations related to PC servers and matchmaking have caused the game to lag.

“We want to make sure we get it right, so instead of having to spend resources during console development and not being able to not have our full attention on it, we want the console to go out the door and then we are going to take some extra time to try to get the best PC version asap »

There’s also extra work for the PC version. The console uses the pairing function itself, you simply connect, either PSN or Xbox Live, but on PC we will have to work harder to get our own matchmaking system. So let’s hope PC users don’t mind waiting a little longer so that we can bring them a really good and streamlined PC experience.
