Three projects by U-tad students, among the finalists for the PS Awards 2016
Today, during the opening day of the Fun & Serious fair in Bilbao, Sony announced the final list of candidates for the prestigious PlayStation Awards. Three projects by students of the Masters in Videogame Programming, Videogame Art and Design and Game Design of the U-tad University Center for Technology and Digital Art, are among the 12 finalists that will attend the grand final, to which they were presented more than 160 candidates between indie and university projects.
These three projects that will compete in the III Edition of the PlayStation Awards have been developed by students of the 2015-2016 academic year, to which must be added a fourth title that, although it has not been developed in the factory of the Las Rozas Campus, between Its most prominent creators are U-tad alumni who also participated in the award-winning projects Rolling BOB and Two Dimensions.
Regarding the first three projects, we discovered an impressive platform video game for PlayStation 4, Khara of the study DNA Softworks; an attractive and fun cooperative shooter, Rascal Revolt of Seamantic Games (also for PS4) and finally, Intruders: Hide & Seek of Tessera studios, a suspense video game for Virtual Reality, created for PlayStation VR. Finally, the studio’s Night & Day project Ikigay gameworks, made up of alumni of U-tad, it is a runner also created for PS4.
