Try The Elder Scrolls Online for free this weekend on PC, Mac, and Xbox One

Bethesda has announced a free trial weekend for The Elder Scrolls Online

It begins this Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 9:01 am and runs through Monday, December 14, 2015 at 9:00 am on PC, Mac, and Xbox One.

The PlayStation 4 says: “We are currently working with Sony on a technical implementation so that our PS4 fans can also have a trial weekend.”

You can also use it to qualify for entry into The Elder Scrolls Online’s $1 million sweepstakes.

On Xbox One, you can download the game on Xbox Live starting Thursday at 9 a.m. and start playing straight away.

“If you decide to purchase ESO before the end of the weekend (December 14 at 09:00 CEST), you will not only receive a 60% discount off the purchase price, but you will also keep all the progress you have made earned over the weekend and can continue your journey through Tamriel unhindered,” it says.

PC and Mac players can download the game now, but you’ll need a code to participate, which you can get from various websites or from friends who are already playing ESO. Then create an account here, activate it and redeem the code you received in the account overview so that you can play from Thursday.

As part of this special weekend, you can purchase The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited at a 60% discount through Monday, December 14th. If you choose to purchase ESO during the weekend, you can continue your adventures easily and uninterrupted even after this event ends.”
