W10 Creator’s Update includes TruePlay anti-cheat software

The first people who have received the Windows 10 Creator’s Update have found that it includes new software focused on avoiding cheats: TruePlay.

This software focuses on monitoring the most common ways of cheating in games and will only send information to the developer in case TruePlay detects that cheating has been done.

Developers will be able to apply TruePlay to the entire game or just to the fragment they want; for example, they can disable cheat detection in the campaign and enable it for online.

The user can disable TruePlay if they wish, but will not be able to access the parts of the game protected by that system.

On Microsoft’s MDSN page you can see how this system is integrated into UWP (Universal Windows Platform) apps.
