World of Warcraft: Shadowlands beta kicks off next week

Blizzard Entertainment confirms that in a new Developer Update World of Warcraft: Shadowlands comes out this fall. The beta test for the expansion will also start next week.

Do you want to participate in that beta? Then you have to click on the option to receive beta invites on your account management page. The first invites will be sent in the course of next week. Don’t worry if you’re not among the lucky ones, the developer is still inviting new people to try the beta all summer.

In the beta it is possible to explore all new areas and bring your character to level 60. This progression is obviously not transferable to the final version of the game.

Game director Ion Hazzikostas also confirms in the Developer Update that the release of Shadowlands this fall will not be compromised. “If necessary, we ship the game from our home to the fans,” says Hazzikostas.

The previous major expansion for World of Warcraft dates back to 2018. Our World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth review can of course be found on the site.
