In the World of Warships, we will soon be able to confront Warhammer 40K-style ships.
The Warhammer universe continues to enjoy unbroken popularity, be it the Age of Sigmar, which reinforces the fantasy branch, or the 40K, which embodies a brutal future. This time, the latter comes to the fore, as Wargaming.net’s naval warfare game, World of Warships, has been expanded with percussive new shipworms inspired by the 40K world of Warhammer.
In the Warhammer 40k universe, though, ships are huge flying cathedrals, arts and mechanical wonders that, in addition to being a hallmark of the grim-dark style, also have important abilities in the military. Following the example of this (and, of course, thanks to Battlefleet Gothic: Armada), two new ships will soon enter the World of Warships.
Of course, the developers didn’t go all the way to the world of Warhammer (although many are certainly sad about it now), they tried to keep the structure of the twentieth-century warships as much as possible. However, its style and appearance are really authentic looks, there can be no reason to complain to hard-line fans either.
It’s not just about new color combinations, please, as huge altars, statues and other symbols specific to that faction cover the hulls, not to mention the Gothic design and beautiful bow ornaments.
The in-game event related to the new battleships will start on May 27, when it will be possible to choose a faction in advance. And the full event will be available from the end of June, when we can fall on top of each other with the Warhammer-style boats. By implication, the Empire and the Chaos are the two eternal enemies that will fight each other here as well. Anyone who chooses a page in advance will receive bonus missions and will receive additional Warhammer 40K containers in the game. This innovation will, of course, be available in both the PC and console versions of the game.
