It’s Friday and Red Dead Redemption 2 is out! But it doesn’t just stop there in terms of game news. That’s how Xbox Game Pass comes to PC and Vampyr comes to the Switch. Read it all in this new Night Watch.

Xbox Game Pass is also coming to PC

The Xbox Game Pass subscription is coming to PC. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced this during the presentation of the company’s quarterly results. Game Pass has been around for a while for Xbox One and allows gamers to pay $ 10 each month to play over a hundred games at no additional cost. This also often includes new Xbox titles that have only just been released. Games like Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 4 were already playable on the day of release via Game Pass.

As a PC gamer you could already become a member of Game Pass, but that was purely for the first party Xbox One games that can also be played on PC. When Game Pass is officially released for PC, various third party titles and older games should also be added. Now just wait and see when the service comes to PC.

Battlefield 5 developer gets banned from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for being too good

Florian Le Bihan is the core gameplay designer of Battlefield 5 and found out that he was suddenly banned while playing the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer. Unhealthy competition between EA and Activision? No, players seemed to think the best man was cheating. In the video below you can see that he is indeed very good, but they are really pure skills.

In the meantime Le Bihan has been unbanned again, so he can continue making headshots.

Fan creates interactive map for CoD: Black Ops 4 Blackout mode

We’ll stay with Black Ops 4 for a while. Reddit visitor Game_Maps has created an interactive map of the game’s Blackout mode. Via blackoutmap.com you can view possible spawn locations, locations of vehicles, dark ops and mystery crates. You can also play the strategist this way and map out good routes. The website is not connected to the game itself so it is really separate, but it is still quite useful if you are fanatic about Blackout!

The first trailer of the remaster of Yakuza 4

Yakuza 4 Remastered will be released in Japan on January 17, and Sega released the first trailer for the PS4 game yesterday. It is not yet clear when the game will be released in Europe.

Yakuza 4 originally appeared on PlayStation 3 in 2010. Sega previously announced remasters for Yakuza 3, 4 and 5, but none of the games have yet been confirmed for a Western release. Still, games like Yakuza 9 and Yakuza Kiwami and the sequel have been released here, so the Guard is hopeful that we can expect this game in our little country as well.

Two Switch games for the price of one

No, you don’t literally pay for one Switch game to purchase both titles you see below, but the Guard has just put these two completely different games together.

Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle Lands is now available via the eShop on the Switch. Despite the fact that the game is based on the famous horror series, this game is especially very cute. Jason is puzzling! The game has more than 150 levels.

The second Switch game is RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures. The game was previously announced, but it has now been announced that the game will be released in Europe in November, thanks to publisher BigBen Interactive. The game is based on the critically not-so-well-received RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch, so let’s hope Atari has improved things a bit. There is not yet a trailer, but a screenshot can be seen below.

Space Oddity … in Star Citizen

The late David Bowie’s classic Space Oddity really doesn’t need a new clip, but the video below can appreciate the Guard. A Star Citizen player named AShogunNamedDavid used the Face Over IP in the game to create a new video clip for the song.

With Face Over IP, players with a webcam can capture the movements of their faces and use them for a character in the game. Well, then you can also sing Space Oddity. Well done!

Sonic Team Racing will be released in May 2019

Sonic Team Racing was supposed to be released sometime this winter, but the game has been delayed to May 21, 2019 so that Sega can ensure that it becomes ‘the best game it can be’. Developer Sumo Digital therefore needs more time to polish up the game. Not bad in itself, because rather a good game later than a mediocre game as soon as possible!

Sonic Team Racing is the sequel to the Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing games. This game only features characters from Sonic games, and players can form teams and work together to be the first to cross the finish line. They can even share items with each other. The game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

Vampyr is coming to the Switch

Earlier this year, gamers on PC, PS4 and Xbox One could enjoy DontNod game Vampyr. Switch owners had to look on with sorrow, but there is good news. Publisher Focus Home Interactive wants to bring the game to Nintendo’s hybrid console in the company’s third fiscal quarter. That should be sometime between now and December.

Further details about the Switch version are not yet known, but it is good news, because the game from the creators of Life is Strange is very entertaining. As a vampire you not only try to find a cure, you also have to choose which people you suck empty in order to get enough blood.

Alan Wake is back on Steam

Alan Wake disappeared from Steam last May. What was the case? The music licenses for the game had expired. However, Microsoft has done its best and tried to renew all licenses, which is why Alan Wake is back on Steam just in time for Halloween.

There is even a special Halloween promotion: the game now costs 2.50 euros for a limited time. That’s no money for this exciting game from the makers of Quantum Break, in which you as a writer slowly go crazy.

Release date Jump Force announced

Want to fight all kinds of anime characters? That’s exactly what the fun-looking Jump Force is going to offer. Since the announcement of the game earlier this year, it continues to be tempting to fight with characters from Dragon Ball Z and many other mangas.

The game’s release date has now been announced via a new trailer, which you can check out below. The game will be released on February 15, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The new trailer also features two new characters: Ryo Saeba from City Hunter and Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.

Four new screenshots from Shenmue 3

We have received the remasters of the previous parts, but we can only expect Shenmue 3 for PC and PS4 on August 27, 2019. Until then, we have to make do with the few trailers and screenshots we get. Fortunately, there are now four new and great looking pictures available for your viewing pleasure.

That’s how long it takes to install Red Dead Redemption 2 from disk

The Guard thinks it is so nice to end this Night Watch with Red Dead Redemption 2. Suppose you physically make it to the game today, how long are you waiting before you can get started?

DualShockers has given it a try. The game comes on two discs. The first disk takes 46 minutes to install on a PS4 Pro and the second disk takes 42 minutes. So in total it took about an hour and a half to install the game via disk. There is also a day one patch to be downloaded of 3 GB, and that of course depends on your internet speed and how fast the servers are this morning. Hopefully it will take you about two hours.

To everyone who gets started today, have fun with Red Dead Redemption 2!
