Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon will have a kart racing minigame

Anyone who knows the Yakuza series knows that it is full of minigames to break the routine of beating up bandits a little, and in Yakuza 7 (or Yakuza: Like a Dragon, as it will be called in the West) things would not be different. According to Japanese magazine Famitsu, one of the novelties of the next game is the possibility of driving karts.

The publication reveals that the intention here is to lead the protagonist as quickly as possible along the indicated routes, with the circuits being the streets of Yokosuka. In addition, players will also have the chance to find several boxes with weapons to attack opponents, in a scheme very similar to that seen in the Mario Kart series.

You can see a little of how these races will work, as well as several other elements of the game, in the video that follows:

Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon will be released in January 2020 in Japan and sometime next year in other countries around the globe.
