a high-end folding that closes like a Motorola Razr.
We are less than a month away from Mobile World Congress 2020, an event in which we hope to see the new Samsung Galaxy S20 and the new Samsung folding, which after several leaks, is rumored to be called the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Rather little was known about this device, until now, that has been completely leaked.
The leak comes from the hand of Roland Quandt, a well-known leaker who has published in the German medium WinFuture all the images and specifications of the futurible Samsung Galazy Z Flip. In the absence of Samsung confirming all the information on the terminal, Quandt shows us a high-end terminal, with a size relatively similar to this year’s high-end models and which, curiously, does not have 5G connectivity.

The Galaxy Z Flip, top to bottom
According to Roland Quandt, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip would have a similar form factor to the Motorola Razr, while folds down and closes like old flip phones. At the back we have a single camera with two lenses together with an LED flash, as well as a secondary display 1.06-inch Super AMOLED (300 x 116 pixels) that could be used, for example, to display the time and notifications.
The screen, Quandt claims, consists of a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with FUllHD + resolution (2,636 x 1,080 pixels) and a 22: 9 format that, in the wake of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, has a small perforation in the upper central area to house the internal camera (a single lens). This screen has been dubbed the Infinity Flex. The fingerprint reader seems to have been placed on the side specifically in the upper half, just below the volume buttons.

That as far as the exterior is concerned. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip would ride 8 GB of RAM along with the Snapdragon 855+ processor, which is not Qualcomm’s latest flagship and that it arrives without a 5G modem on board, or so the leaker claims. Nothing from Exynos outside of South Korea and the United States, it seems. It is accompanied by 256 GB of internal UFS 3.0 storage without the option to be expanded by microSD cards.
As for the battery, the filtration indicates that its capacity will be of 3,300 mAh and that will arrive with fast charging of up to 15W and Qi wireless charging of up to nine watts of power. No surprises in the connectivity section, except for the apparent absence of 5G, since it will have Bluetooth 5.0, USB type C, NFC, WiFi 6 and the full batch of GPS systems.
For the photographic section, the filtered technical sheet shows that the double rear camera will be composed of two 12 megapixel sensors, the first with aperture f / 1.8 and the second, a wide angle with 123º field of view, with aperture f / 2.2. The front camera, hidden in the screen hole, has a 10 megapixel resolution Dual Pixel and aperture f / 2.0. It will be able to record in 4K at 60 frames per second and it will be compatible with HDR10 +.
Lastly, Quand mentions that the operating system is Android 10 with One UI 2.0, but it is not explained if said system will have been customized by Samsung to offer functions that take advantage of the folding screen in some way. The only thing Quandt has revealed is that the terminal can be freely opened at an angle between 70 and 110 degrees.

It is expected that the device will be presented at the Unpacked that will take place on February 11, 2020, at the doors of the Mobile World Congress. This matches the availability date advanced by Roland Quandt, who states that the terminal will arrive in Europe on February 14, three days later, for a price that “will probably start around 1,500 euros.”
