★ Aatrox no revive on R?!
We know from Meddler that Riot is working on Aatrox. Aatrox is too weak in Solo Queue and too strong in Pro. For this reason, adjustments not only to the numbers are necessary. Some changes are already being tested internally.
Today, a new proposal for his R will hit the PBE. It will not resurrect, but it will become stronger in terms of offense. If the tests were successful, it’s likely that this change won’t make it to the live servers in 9.7 anyway.
Current R of Aatrox:
Aatrox unleashes his demonic form, gaining attack damage and movement speed. When Aatrox takes lethal damage, he will respawn instead of dying and heal for a percentage of his maximum health.
Aatrox takes true demonic form for the next few seconds, scaring nearby minions and gaining: increased movement speed for the first second when not fighting champions or turrets; increased attack damage; A Blood Well that fills with health and allows you to Resurrect if you take lethal damage.
New Aatrox R:
Aatrox unleashes his demonic form for a few seconds and begins to fill the Blood Well. The Blood Well stores all the health he gains during this time. At the end of the effect or after taking potentially lethal damage, Aatrox heals for an amount of health based on how full the Blood Well is.
At the time Darkin Blade has no cooldown and resets the cooldown Umbral Dash. Additionally, Aatrox gains out-of-combat movement speed against champions and turrets, a percentage of total AD, and scares nearby minions.
★ Plans for patch 9.7
Meddler announced that the next update will probably include balance changes for several characters:
- Lissandra: nerf – adaptation to the professional scene;
- Morgana: adapting her for mid lane;
- Swain: Changes yet to be determined (possibly Riot will back out of them altogether) – He’s a bit too weak.
We should also see changes to Wkong in the next cycles.
Riot is also planning fixes to two items:
- Dark Seal / Mysterious Seal: nerfs – probably related to the cost of selling the item;
- Wit’s End / End of Reason: unspecified experimental changes.
★ Infinite Silas Mushrooms
In addition to the fact that Sylas can re-use his ultimate after using it, Teemo can also steal it much more often than other champions. Due to the similar ability cooldown, Sylas is able to use on Teemo when he retrieves one of the mushrooms. In other words, he is able to lay down as many toadstools as Teemo at the same time.
★ Riot fixes Nunu disappearing bug
Yesterday, at the end of the news, we posted an interesting bug causing… Nunu to disappear. One of the rioters, Xenogenic, experienced the error – so the developers could not ignore the problem. RiotAugust reported that a patch has already been uploaded that should solve it. Unfortunately, the bug is difficult to reproduce, so there is no guarantee that the bug will not happen again. So if you notice Nunu disappearing in patch 9.6, be sure to let the rioters know (you can do that on August’s twitter, for example).
★ Renekton bug: Animation cancelled
We’ve been playing version 9.6 on the live servers for almost a day now, and the number of Renekton bugs is getting bigger and bigger. Riot is currently working to resolve the animation cancellation bug . According to RiotMapleNectara, fixes should appear in the near future. Hopefully before the next update. Other player-reported Renekton bugs:
- After use with 50+ fury stacks, after activating Hydra, the amount of fury drops to zero.
- Occasionally, auto-attack sounds and activated items are no longer heard.
- There are some issues with displaying skill animations.
In tiers above Diamond, this champion’s winrate has been hovering around 47% since patch 9.6. Hey Riot, why don’t you let the crocodile go after all those Tiamat, Conqueror nerfs, and the removal of the cancel mechanic ?
