AG275QZ & AG275QZN Review.
By now we know AOC from the monitors and gaming gear, now they are bringing two new monitors to the market, which are almost the same. The names are almost identical and so is the appearance. But beware, there is definitely a difference in both monitors. We’ll go through them with you.
If you look at both boxes you will actually notice that they look practically the same, when you unpack them there is still very little difference. So make sure, if you decide to get one, that you have chosen the right one. You get exactly the same with both monitors, cables and peripheral accessories. Then we find a Displayport, 4 USB ports, and two HDMI inputs, also noteworthy is the 3.5mm audio jack. We don’t often see the latter on a monitor, but it can sometimes come in handy. Installing both monitors is also just plug and play, you put the foot down and then click the monitor in. Cables in and you can go. Good, but what is the difference, below we list the specs as they are on the site at AOC.

The Specifications While both monitors look very similar, there are some key differences, take a look at some of the important specs.

The monitors are so close together that you will really find the differences through the slog. Let’s take a look at the refresh rate, which is 270Hz to 240Hz. Now I’m 36 and I’m really not going to see that difference, but I can tell you that it looks great. You can game without traces, nothing sticks, the images come through so smoothly. The biggest difference can be found in the number of colors and the screen quality. This is the difference on which you will base your choice. For example, one monitor has an IPS panel, which provides bright colors and really complete blackness. It gives more life to your monitor and often looks just a bit more realistic, but this depends on the person, because not everyone will agree with me here.

In addition, the screen also has HDR400, which is not the highest HDR Rating available and I must admit that I have not used this option. I noticed somewhere that it didn’t really improve my gaming experience.
An IPS panel also ensures that the viewing angle is better, because then you have no loss of color if you look at an angle. Then the monitor also has G-sync, which ensures the best performance in combination with an Nvidia card, for AMD users there is Freesync. These two options get just a little more out of your monitor and ensure the best gaming experience. The monitor is not only great for PC gamers, I am a console gamer myself and can tell you that they both really do their best. I do have a slight preference for one of the two, but that is, as said before, personal.

If we then take a look at the AG275QZN, we see that the appearance and inputs match almost exactly. The biggest difference as mentioned is the refresh rate and the panel type. We are dealing here with a VA screen and refresh of 240Hz. You will also be able to play perfectly here. Wouldn’t you have the luxury of putting both next to each other, you wouldn’t even see those differences, otherwise you would of course have a small advantage (like me) that you can check it. Certainly the VA panel is a thing, it ensures that the viewing angle is somewhat adjusted and the colors are a bit off compared to its brother. I waited a week afterwards to test it and then suddenly the colors are just impressive. The specifications are a bit less, but the colors still look sleek and good. Here too, HDR 400 has been chosen and this monitor unfortunately only has Freesync. You get here just like less, but that means that this monitor also costs a little less than its big brother.
If you really have to choose between one of the two monitors, the AG275QZ might be the ideal choice. They both have some points, but for gaming they really stand out. If you are really looking for a good HDR monitor, I would leave this one. But do you just want a good monitor, good image transitions and tight colors. Then you can definitely choose one of these two.
