As expected, Amazfit has now presented three new smartwatches from its GTS and GTR lines. While the new GTS 3, with its angular design, is aimed more at fans of the Apple Watch, the two GTR 3 models come in a round design. The cheapest wearables start on the market for 150 euros.
Let’s start with the Amazfit GTR 3 and the GTR 3 Pro, which differ mainly in terms of the display. Although it is round in both cases and uses AMOLED technology, it measures 1.39 inches (454 x 454 pixels) in the GTR 3 and 1.45 inches (480 x 480 pixels) in the GTR 3 Pro diagonals.
Amazfit GTR 3: Battery lasts up to 40 days
Surprisingly, the cheaper GTR 3 can score with a better battery life: up to 21 days should be able to be squeezed out of the 450 mAh battery with typical use, and even up to 40 days in battery saver mode. Since the GTR 3 Pro is equipped with WLAN, the average usage time is only 12 days despite the same battery size, and up to 30 days in economical mode.
The GTS 3 has more similarities to the GTR 3 Pro than the regular GTR 3 and comes with a large 1.75-inch high-resolution AMOLED screen. The battery still lasts a maximum of 12 days in normal mode and 30 days in economy mode. There is no WiFi on board.

Amazfit: Zepp OS can do that
Amazfit does not rely on Wear OS, but on its own development Zepp OS, which connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth with the app of the same name on Android and iOS. The software includes over 150 watch faces with the appropriate always-on display variants (including 15 animated and 23 modular watch faces). Zepp OS even comes with support for voice control via Amazon Alexa.

More than 150 different modes are integrated for athletes, 8 of them can even be recognized automatically. Heart rate tracking, blood oxygen measurement (SpO2), monitoring of stress levels and sleep should not be missing. GPS for location tracking without a smartphone in your pocket completes the package.
