IN SHORT:
Well-known YouTuber Igor Wallosek reports that Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards have a big appetite for electricity. In his analysis, the expert points out that in the case of AMD, the TGP factor revealed in recent leaks cannot be compared to the TGP used by Nvidia. The first statistic only takes into account the current consumed by the GPU and VRAM, while the second takes into account the entire graphics card (including cooling and all other elements needed to work). In the case of “red”, the equivalent of Nvidia’s TGP is TBP.
Igor used the calculation method previously used for the GeForce RTX 3090 (in that case, he managed to calculate the power consumption with almost perfect accuracy – he was wrong by only two watts) to determine the likely real power demand of the Radeon RX 6000. Everything points to that the TBP of the most powerful AMD graphics chip – Radeon RX 6900 XT (Navi 21 XT) – will be 320 W. This means that the card will require about as much energy as the GeForce RTX 3080 it is supposed to compete with.

As with Nvidia cards, non-reference designs can feature even greater power demand, reaching up to 355 W.

In turn, Navi 21 XL, i.e. the weaker Radeon RX 6900 (without the XT suffix) it will most likely draw around 290W from the outlet.

Reports also suggest that both graphics systems in question will have 16 gigabytes of VRAM. In the case of the more powerful Radeon, it is to have a speed of 16 Gbps, which translates into 512 GB / s of bandwidth. A weaker card will be equipped with slower bones (14 Gbps), guaranteeing 448 GB / s of bandwidth.
