The Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Your Island, Your Life! (Nintendo Switch) trailer shows the beginning of a new life on the island, including various activities such as setting up a tent, crafting tools, making adjustments, exploring, and meeting new and returning animal residents. Free updates are added to the game regularly, allowing players to enjoy seasonal content. For example, the first update, which is now available, ensures that “Rabbit Day” is celebrated on the island in April. The software update adds for members of Nintendo Switch Online also allows the use of online functions*.

Whether you play online* or with others in your area**, island life only gets better when you share it with other players. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons up to eight players can live on the same island. Islanders can call up to three other residents to explore the island together***. Up to eight players can play together on the same island via a local wireless connection or online*. But there is also plenty to do on your own, with a growing number of animal inhabitants, each with their own personality and doing their own things on the island. Friendly animals like Tom Nook, Timmy and Tommy are at their service and happy to help you grow your community, upgrade your home and furnish it with furniture and accessories – some of which you can design or customize to your own taste.

Nintendo Switch Onlinemembers can now also use NookLink, part of the Nintendo Switch Online app, to scan a QR code of a custom design from the previously released Animal Crossing: New Leaf or Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer with a smartphone and download it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. When players who Animal Crossing: New Horizons are connected online, they can also talk to each other via the Nintendo Switch Online app for smartphones, or use the keyboard to exchange text messages.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Campplayers who link their Nintendo Account to the game will receive a special offer Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. They will also receive a download code that they can use to order special items from the NookStation Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available in stores and Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch. The game is compatible with both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite. In addition to the game, Animal Crossing themed cases are now available for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite.
