Armored Warfare – New map “Cold Strike” introduced in the video.

My.com yesterday introduced the new map, Cold Strike, that will be available to players in Armored Warfare.

In Armored Warfare, the onset of winter does not mean that everything turns into a white winter wonderland, but rather that the environment is severely restricted by snowstorms and muddy roads often make progress difficult.

The Cold Strike map offers a balanced mix of different terrains. First, there’s the city itself, which has been – literally – frozen in the midst of a full-scale offensive. Since then, empty streets and abandoned houses have characterized the cityscape. While helicopters and fighter jets circle high above the settlement trapped in the ice, these weather conditions are much more problematic for ground troops, since the cold weather brings with it all sorts of disabilities for vision and mobility: the grey-on-grey winter sky blurs with it the dreary building facades, which makes accurate target acquisition at a distance significantly more difficult. Even the low-hanging fog often only shows enemy vehicles in the middle of the urban canyons as ghostly schemes.

Armored Warfare: Cold Strike Map!

The outcome of a battle is not only determined by the values of your own vehicle and the skills of the crew, but also by the choice of the venue. When choosing a battlefield, Armored Warfare promises a wide range of possible battlefields where the armored vehicles meet. The areas of the maps range from hot desert areas and dark swamps to sunny steppes and rural villages to cities with many roads and high-rise buildings with expressways winding through them. This article is dedicated to a new, previously unannounced map that realistically reflects the varied effects of the cold season on battlefield conditions.

In Armored Warfare, the onset of winter does not mean that everything turns into a white winter wonderland, but rather that the environment is severely restricted by snowstorms and muddy roads often make progress difficult.

A battle in a snow-covered environment is not only visually impressive: shots and explosions appear all the brighter in stark contrast to the snow, vehicles leave visible tracks and the dark silhouette of a tank becomes an even better target for the enemy in the light snow. Even lakes are then packed in a thick layer of ice, while unpaved roads become muddy obstacles. A tactical approach is all the more important under such extreme conditions!

The combat area of the map includes a city area and its immediate vicinity. The 1.2 square kilometer map features a train station, several warehouses and an expressway. In the south of the map there is a bus station with a bus stop and the police station of the village. A frozen river also meanders through much of the map. All of these idiosyncrasies offer different tactical choices for Armored Warfare players.

Teams start in opposite corners of the map – Northwest and Southeast. The center of the map, which is directly in between, includes exactly that part where the suburbs of the city mix with a snow-covered ice desert, optimal for fast vehicles and artillery. Tank commanders should pay particular attention to this area, as this environment is a significant hindrance to heavily armored vehicles.

A video for “Cold Strikecard has also been released!
