Assassin’s Creed Valhalla available this fall.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the latest game in the Assassin’s Creed series, will be available in Fall 2020 for Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Windows PC via the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also be part of Uplay+, Ubisoft’s subscription service for Windows PC.

Developed by the team behind Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Origins at Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set in the time of the Vikings. Players will experience the story of Eivor, a furious Viking who was raised on tales of battle and glory. The game offers players a thrilling Viking experience in a beautiful, dynamic open world set against the brutal backdrop of England’s Dark Ages. This latest game in the Assassin’s Creed series also introduces many new features, including raids, building a settlement and building their power and influence.

“We can’t wait for players to experience this amazing Viking journey for themselves. Players discover the life of Eivor, a Viking raider and clan leader. Eivor faces the challenges of searching for a new home amid a power struggle over control of England.”

Players have the choice of playing as a male or female Eivor and access a variety of equipment options, including the ability to customize hair, tattoos, war paint, and equipment. Political alliances, battle decisions, and dialogue choices affect the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, forcing players to weigh decisions to protect their home and the future of their clan.

Driven from Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources in the ninth century AD, players lead Eivor’s clan of Normans across the icy North Sea to rich but broken England. Players build a new future for their clan as they relive the brutal fighting style of Viking warriors with an updated combat system. Among other things, the combat system allows players to use a different weapon in both hands, which is also necessary with a wider variety of enemies than ever before. To earn necessary wealth and resources, players have the option to lead raids on specific locations with their ship. The moment the Vikings seem to have found their new home, they encounter resistance from the Saxons. Among them is King Aelfred of Wessex, who wants to become the sole ruler of a civilized England himself. Against all odds, Eivor must do whatever it takes to keep Valhalla within reach.
