Asus Eee Pad Transformer already has a price: 430 euros
Last week we talked about Asus Eee Pad Transformer a tablet based on Android Honeycomb 3.0 with the possibility of connecting it to a keyboard dock that, in addition to increasing battery life, allowed us to turn it into a makeshift netbook.
Asus announced that it would soon arrive in Europe and it has been. In Amazon UK they are already accepting reservations for its imminent launch: April 18. Although the Asus Eee Pad will not only arrive soon but will do so with a quite interesting price 430 pounds (about 490 euros) with the dock or 380 pounds (about 430 euros) no dock.
Unlike Amazon.com, the UK version has no limitations regarding the sale of hardware and electronic products. That is, we can buy the Asus tablet from Spain without any problem. In fact, I have tried to make the reservation and get to the last step, already with the postal address entered, and I have not had problems of any kind.
In the absence of the Motorola Xoom and company arriving in Europe the Asus Eee Pad Transformer seems like a quite interesting alternative with a competitive hardware (Nvidia Tegra2 1Ghz, 1Gb of RAM and 16Gb of internal storage) with a price quite affordable. The only downside is the lack of 3G connectivity.
To refresh your memory here is the data sheet from the tablet:
Now that we know the price, and in view of how well this device did last week among users, we ask you What do you think of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer? Do you think it has an affordable price?
