The watch has a 53.5 x 46 x 14.2 millimeter circular case with a simple finish and single button in the right edge that we will use to interact with it. In the lower area we have the sensors, which we will detail later, and in the upper part the screen, a 1.34 TFT LCD touch panel with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels.
Inside we find 1 GB of RAM and a 1.15 Ghz processor, as well as a 200 mAh batteries, According to ASUS, this capacity is sufficient to deliver up to 10 days of autonomy « In normal use ». Connection with the watch will be via Bluetooth 4.2 and via the ASUS HealthConnect app, compatible with Android 4.4 / iOS 11 and later versions.
As for the sensors, the watch has ECG (electrocardiogram) and PPG (photoplethysmography) that record pulse transit time, heart rate, hours of sleep, and activity and stress levels throughout the day. In addition, ASUS explains that the ECG sensor measures the sympathetic and parasympathetic response of the body to calculate “vitality and relaxation rates in just one minute”. With the two data, the “Body Harmony Index” is calculated, which basically measures the body’s overall response to stress.
On the other hand, the device has a sensor that measures the oxygen saturation in the blood, as well as GPS and altimeter, something designed for the more athletic. It should be noted that it also allows you to carry a menstrual cycle control. Finally, we can receive notifications of apps and calls, like in almost all smartwatches.
